Catching Up

Its been nearly a week and I should be getting someone to look at the laptop this week. It was a really busy bank holiday weekend with E's dad and girlfriend over for the weekend.
It was good to see them but also good to see them leave, there's nothing like getting your house back after the guests have gone.
Also got 3 new ferrets this weekend and got rid of one to E's dad, but sadly cant post any pics so you'll just have to imagine what they look like. Hopefully the next post I'll have some news on the laptop. Till later then, and bare in mind that I can post, but cant read my page, because it breaks the rules at the libary. Must cut down on those offensive words.

Trading Standards

Rang Trading Standards yesterday about the MESH laptop, thy've told me to get someone independant to look at it and if they agree with me, then apparently Mesh are obligated to fix it. And apparently if they refuse, then the credit card company has to pay for it to be fixed under some consumer act.
Looks like I'm about to do battle. I'm ready, are they?

Can My Week Get Any Worse and Mesh

I feel like I have had the week from hell, first Mother and daughter have a blaz'in row, which ends up with daughter moving to be with toe rag-boy friend. Not an ideal situation, but something the daughter had been planing to do in January next year anyway.
The the laptop went back again because were you plug the power lead into has broken of the motherboard, Mesh says its my fault and I say its a manufacturing fault. So I asked them to post the laptop back as they refused to fix it. I can see myself being left with a very expensive bundle of wires sitting in the corner doing nothing.
Spoke to the credit card company and tyhey said there was nothing they could do as the 3 month period had passed, even though they agreed, and said that Mesh should carry out the repairs under the warranty.
So we have no computer and I've got to go to my Mum's to do my essays, Im so pissed of I cant even be bothered at the moment.


On a more cheerful note, congrats P on passing your degree, hard work rewarded.

Parents

Ive been thinking over the weekend about parents, it seems that everyone is talking about it. On the radio they were discussing the reason why we turn into our parents as we get older, which for some could be a scary prospect.
Rad and his wife are soon to become parents and Im sure their life will change forever, and of course myself, now a 'step-parent' for over two years. Do I get it right? I have no idea, I suppose you'll have to ask the children when they grow up.
All I know is that I do what I think is right. Am I turning into my Dad, maybe, sometimes I even sound like him. Perhaps we never escape them, and when we think we have, we've really just turned into them!!! Scary heh.
